I'd guess that since software positions don't interface with the general public that business dress is jeans and a dress shirt. Possibly if you're meeting with a recruiter you might want to wear slacks or dark pants but the notion of this is the best you will ever look on the job doesn't really apply to IT unless you wear a picture shirt or paisleys. What do you think?
