Informative and refreshing way of teaching with amazing job support!

I did not know what I was doing during the initial weeks of my boot camp and I wish somebody had told me at that time that it is ok to feel lost and there is nothing to panic about. I signed up for java which is quite popular and extensive language. Website development always intrigued me so I wanted to understand what goes behind the picture and after Googling for almost a month, I decided to join SynergisticIT. Though it wasn’t my first choice but the other camp was new to online teaching so I did not want to take any chances.

About the course: a very challenging yet interesting course. Totally informative and worth it! Will get overwhelming at parts and you may feel disappointed but remember to embrace your progress and not compare it with anyone. Be communicative and keep your head strong. Let your teachers know if you are facing difficulties in understanding.

Teaching style: they have a refreshing way to teach. From what I have heard online classes can get a little mundane after a while but not when you have qualified teachers teaching at the other end. Each day, we had something different to learn and that’s why we never felt bored or left out. Even the assignments were quite fun. They were tough enough to challenge our knowledge but not complicated enough to make us lose interest.

Job support: one of the best in the industry! I mean you may find some cons in the other aspects but when it comes to job support, they surely take the cake. From grooming you professionally, marketing your resume to help you interview at some of the top IT clients, they do it all. You don’t need to sign any contract or relocate if you don’t want to.

Prior skills needed: even if you are completely inexperienced, you can still join this camp and expect to be groomed with same enthusiasm. But yeah, having some sort of basic programming knowledge surely works in your favor.

What I disliked: there was nothing to really dislike but every place has a few things you like and some you aren’t really a fan of. For me, it was the group assignments. We weren’t given a chance to choose our own partners and somewhere we struggled to get along. Also, the job hunt is not as quick as one might think. Sometimes it may take up to two or three months to find a suitable option so you need to be patient about that part.

Would I join again: yes, why not. If they teach the technology I want to learn, I would be more than happy to join them again. They do charge a small part of the fee upfront but you don’t have to pay the last installment until you find a job so that is kind of an assurance that you would somehow get hired.

Make the most out of your coding camp experience by learning with your mind and practicing with your heart!
