Cashier at Walgreens

She asked... I had NO clue!!

I have been working at Walgreens for just a week and a customer came up to me yesterday and asked where this certain type of vitamin was. I walked her over to the vitamins and we looked, but I couldn't find it. I asked my manager for help and she found it in like two seconds. I hope they don't think I am stupid now. Do you think I will get fired?? I really like this job.

I worked for Walgreens for a few years and I would ask for help in finding something and some employees asked me for help. Walgreens is a team and you will see that soon.

Store Manager at Pet Valu

As a manager myself I wouldnt be upset if you couldnt find something. Managers will generally do things, find things and answer questions more quickly and with ease only because we spend so much time in our stores. My staff take time looking up if we have certain foods in stock whereas I know off the top of my head if we do or dont. I wouldnt stress it honestly. They would be real jerks if they let you go after only 1 week.

Doan,t think or feel like you are stupid because you are not. Sometimes the product could be where it should not be . Tell your self you are a great person. A good friend.

Relief Manager

I worked for Walgreens in the pharmacy & with so many vitamins and different choices on the shelf it is perfectly normal to overlook or not see the actual one your looking for. It does get easier with every time you familiarize yourself . And no Walgreens won't fire you ever when trying to help the customer...good luck, you will be great!

If they fire you for not being able to find vitamins, you don't need to be working there!

Get fired because you couldn't find a product? I mean you followed right procedure you got a manager when you couldn't find something and if they think you're stupid then that would be there bad! I don't know how long you been at Walgreens but if it ain't been that long you can't be expected to know where every last little product is at and if they fired you for that that be such as I wouldn't want to work I wouldn't want to work for Walgreens. You just do what you know to do and if you don't know how to do it or can't find do exactly what you did go get a manager they've been there longer they know more products are better. Don't put so much on your shoulders it's just Walgreens you're not building rockets for NASA

That would be crazy to be fired over that. You’re new and it takes awhile to learn where things are.

People will ask where things are a lot I am sure so you just have to familiarize yourself with everything little by little. You will get the hang of it!
