No Spillage Joe..!!
I feel that I am being age discriminated against. Having turned 55 in April, I have, now, stopped receiving any responses to my job searches on every site I am involved with. I don't get anything from Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Monster, Indeed, Job Street, HVAC Agents, nor any of the other numerous job search sites I frequent. I don't even receive any from Indiana Career Connect. I am an honorably discharged veteran. What is going on here? Do you have to be a Republican to be able to get a job? Is there some legal requirement that I'm overlooking here?

Maybe try making sure all your accounts are still good and your emails are set up right. And also make sure there's nothing on your resume that might show your age.

Joe, You're running into what I'm afraid that I've become trapped by: AGEISM or Age Discrimination: it is the most exasperating most frustrating occurrence presently happening to anyone over the age of thirty. I'll be 58 next month; and would rather skip it. Once these firms get wind of your age; its game over. And it is nearly impossible to avoid or prove. Every interview I've had in the last few years; one of the first things that they ask for is a copy of your driver's license: now I get that we're all paranoid about identity theft and presenting ourselves as someone whom we are not: but this little "identity check" has the double whammy of being able to also let a prospective employer know exactly how much older than their ideal employee's age we all might be. The double whammy is that if you don't give in to such request then your candidacy for a position doesn't even make it to the interview point. It is the old "Damned if you do. And "Damned if you don't." it is a lose lose; situation. And there truthfully is no real or reasonable way around it.
