How do I get noticed?

I'm not hearing back from people in hiring positions after successful and productive interviews. How do I get noticed by doing well enough to be considered for these roles? My most recent job was a senior systems Engineer at USAA in their "applied research" department.

Stay on them. You want a specific role, and that told is really what you would be perfect for, keep on them. When I say keep on them, email HR numerous times explain in how well you would fit in for that position. Good Luck!

I don't know what to say. I would like some advice myself. I believe write cover letters good enough to catch their attention, and my resume is what it is. I just got my masters and I am a substitute teacher right now. But I want a permanent job. And I cannot land the interview.

I'm sorry for your non-responding interviews. I'm going to be honest, It doesn't matter if you have a great day, or a bad interview. Don't let anything effect the next one. You can get the job, stay focused, and positive! Paul

Jeff - It is not you. I have been interviewing for months and I get to face-to-face and on-site, and then the job - disappears, is eliminated, is on-hold. The market has been crazy since October/November. I've had recruiters, placement people and others say "it's a strange market now, jobs are open, job are on-hold, jobs are...- companies are not sure what the new government is going to do to the market and their company". It is very frustrating, as I am a Senior Progress Developer with over 20 years experience, but no one is hiring, or hiring cheap to train. If you can get in-touch with the HR or Hiring manager, Good Luck, I have tried this also, to get ignored or told the position is filled and see it is still listed for month later. If I'm not a good fit or not a candidate, just let me know, give me feedback.

You must have a mindset to be above average in everything you do where it's a handshake or a smile the way that you talk.(personality) be confident but not overconfident look up general questions interviewers asked and practice. Make sure your replies are different and unique that separates you from the pack. You don't have to be script but it must come from the heart and mind. Remember to be notice You have to be above average in everything you do even in the smallest things this is what the masses don't do. God bless you on your journey

Hello, Employers rarely get back to employment applicants, they are too busy sorting among applications to select a few for job interviews. All we can do is to continue submitting more applications and attempt different fields of endeavor. Good Luck!

Jeff, there can be so many factors. Your previous position looks good, but experience, age, skillsets can all be factors. I would critique the recent interviews in your mind. They went well, but that could just mean you are friendly. I always look at clothes, hair color, style of answers, things that did not used to be an issue, are now. If you have the qualifications professionally, you have to look at the personal side of the decision also. Good Luck
