First of all I will tell you I was a terrible Data Entry Clerk and I did this job after getting laid off. I was close to retirement and had to take whatever job I could. Data Entry Clerk was so not me. I don't know why anyone would WANT to be a Data Entry Clerk. It is a thankless, stressful low pay job. You have to be very detail oriented (which I am not) and very fast and confident that what you keyed was correct. Often there are quotas you need to meet and you don't have time to review what you have input. You need to be very fast on 10-day. Reverse 10-key is helpful too, although I've never done that.
