Kind of down
As a manager you don't get a lot of time to take those personal moments when things are tough in your life. You gotta move on and keep going. I have been a Pizza Hut manager for a few years now and I love my regulars. Last week I was so sad when I had to put my dog down. I had him for like almost 12 years and it hurt. When i came into work that day I saw one of my regulars. She could tell I wasn't right and asked me what happened and I told her. The next day a card and some candies showed up at our store. I couldn't thank her enough because coming into work those first few days was really hard, but she made me feel better. Be grateful for the kindness you receive in your life. I sure am.

impressive quality

Customers are what keep me going, certainly not company.

It sounds like you have a really great staff and support system. You're very lucky. Not many have that. I'm really sorry to hear about your dog.

I’m sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. I can relate to this in a lot of ways because my mom lost 2/3 of her doggies and I almost lost my beloved dog back in September.
It’s hard to say goodbye but what’s important to remember is that your dog is no longer suffering, and can RIP knowing what unconditional love was which will keep him/her company in death. Time will heal but it’s always bittersweet.
You let the memories you’ve built with your dog to keep you company and remember how good things were, which will always keep you going.

Hello Ray Valentine,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your dog and faithful companion. And the selfless and difficult decision of having to put him down in order to stop his pain, or rather take his pain away from him and carry it yourself, along with all your grief. I can totally relate as I had to do the same thing two years ago.
I admire your character as you are able to busy yourself with your commitment professionally during this difficult time. Also admirable, how you took time to share your thankful and thoughful appreciation for the kindness that was expressed by one of your regulars at work. In a way, your doing the right thing was rewarded properly with fellow human kindness.
I really cannot offer a man that already has his priorities in the right place and yet was able to do it and not lose his personal commitments to those whom he loves ( this definitely includes a companion that you were able to receive unconditional love from and reciprocate likewise with the selfless decision to end his pain).
I do offer my deepest regret and heartfelt understanding of the deep pain that you are experiencing. That pain does not go away, but it will lessen a little with each passing day.
All my best wishes to you in the hopes for your future personal and professional success, and health.
May you have a Joyous Holiday Season as well.
Kind Regards,
Patrick Coppedge
