I'm just looking for a part time job to earn some extra money and get out of the house, but being a felon I'm having a difficult time who hires felons?
I'm a gifted caregiver, but everyone I've talked to so far has shut me down, but I'm definitely open to something new.

Here’s a link to a list of companies that hire individuals with a record: https://www.careeraddict.com/companies-hire-felons
Hope this helps

I would check with your local government run career services office. Here in NYS they have a program called VESID for people with disabilities finding employment. They will assist you in finding work and be your advocate. I went through it for PTSD and it was awesome! I hope this helps.

@Kellyh Heat You ever consider being a truck driver? Lots of women do it and for the most part it’s a felony friendly industry. Commercial drivers can make in between $70k-$130k annually. If you’re interested I can explain the steps on how to get a CDL the way I did.

Az just passed a law that anyone who has served their time can have their record sealed. That means employers cannot see any criminal history that has been resolved. Of course you have to pay for it, like $200.00 I think. But often it's worth it if it's keeping you from work. Believe me I went through the same crap and I'm 48 now and stuck w a job rather than career. It ruins your life and it's wrong!!

Where are the legit work from home jobs

Finding a job as a felon can be challenging, but it's not impossible. Start by exploring job opportunities on platforms like Jobcase, where employers often have a more inclusive hiring approach. You can also consider reaching out to local staffing agencies that specialize in placing individuals with criminal backgrounds. Additionally, consider expanding your search to industries like construction, warehouse work, or food service, as they may have more lenient hiring policies. Stay persistent and showcase your caregiving skills and willingness to learn new things. Good luck!

Thx 👍🏻

I am looking online job

Hey @Kellyh Heat, just thought I'd check in and see how the job search was going. Any luck?
A friend of mine recently had to let a caregiver go because they didn't pass the state's background check - Some offenses will "roll off" in time, you can get details on your state's In Home Health Services website.
Along with @Carla H's link - I've heard both Target and Walmart hire with a record.
