I received one too and it does sound too good to be true. I asked her what is being shipped, and she said we can look through the boxes since would have to consolidate and put some of them together. She said it was mostly clothing, electronics, etc.... I asked for her company website since I haven't been able to find it. Did you have any further contact with her?

You can tell the scams easily. Using CV instead of Resume. Lastly, what's the point of sending someone boxes to have them reship them somewhere else? Oh, money laundering :)

Yes. It's a scam that has going around. Did you apply for this job? The company may be legit (google it) but the position is not. I see the scammers have learned now to place the company outside the US. Too many people caught on. But don't take my word for it. The minute they ask you to have a video interview on google hangouts, run. Other warning sign is they will send you a check to buy 'equipment' but they need you send them back a bunch of money BEFORE the check clears

Kenisha, that seems SUPER scammy to me. Here's what tipped me off:

  1. logistics scams are everywhere right now.
  2. the person contacting you isn't even in the US!
  3. the fact that they told you it's a legit job. if it was REALLY legit, why would they have to tell you that? it's like when someone says "I'm a nice guy"-- I bet that's not true!
  4. that pay is waaaaay too good to be true
  5. it smells like a reshipping scam

I'd guess this could go one of three ways. They could ask you for your bank account information and steal money directly from you. They could send you a check that turns out to be fake, and you could lose money that way. OR they could send you stolen merchandise and have you reship it, putting you in legal danger.

I would avoid this completely! Delete the email and move on, this will bring you nothing but trouble.
