Yes you can start out as a cashier, it teaches you do deal with people in a timely manner. Learn how to stay calm and assess the situation to give a helpful answer. Always be nice bc you don't know what has happened in there day. You also get to learn how to count money back with out a cash register doing it for you. Don't let the ways of world drag you down. Learning how to count money back is a blessing for them and you. Just remember always lay what they give you on the top of the drawer, never put it in the drawer, then give them change. Bc they can always say they gave you more money. So always lay there money on top of the drawer. Good luck

Looking for a remote, full time, data entry position.

In my experience, being a cashier, you obtain customer support, customer service, how to deal with many different situations, as well as with dis-satisfied customers. If the cashier position has you answering phone calls as well, you are getting experience with customers dealing with phone calls. You will obtain many different skills by being a cashier. Always remember, smile, be polite, de-escalate an upset customer, make eye contact and if not too busy, help the customer find the products they are looking for.

It will give you experience with working with customers. It will also help you learn the difference in personality types that are out there. Some people like to chit chat while others like to get in and get out. It will also help familiarize you and make you comfortable with change.

It’s important to learn cashiering bc it’s actually something you use in every day situations and counting cash back is becoming a lost trait like writing in cursive.
