Hey Austin, Thanks for posting this. Cool article and great question. I think modern tech is definitely putting people out of work for certain jobs - but it is also opening up new jobs. Its a lot harder to navigate a career when change is happening so fast - thats one of the reasons we started this site. WE think jobcasers helping jobcasers can be a big source of power for one another as we all try to ride this technology wave happening in our lifetime.
For restaurants in particular, I think the commodity type experiences (like a fast food burger joint) will be increasingly automated, but the higher value service (like white linen upscale restaurants) will always want that personal interaction. Just my two cents... Looking forward to hearing what others think!
