A nursing assistant is more than a job, it’s a critical role in patient care! They are an essential member of healthcare operations and have a lot of hands-on patient contact. Though not an easy job, it can be very rewarding!
So what to do if you want to become a CNA?
1. Earn a high school degree or equivalent You’ll want to make sure you are giving it your all to assure your GPA and transcript are competitive!
2.Complete a CNA certification program You’ll be required to complete a 6 to 12 week CNA program. Before enrolling, please make sure the program is approved by your state’s nursing board.
3. Take your state exam You’ll be tested on basic nursing skills and knowledge. There is a TON of exam materials available online to help you prepare! Once you pass, you will receive your license!
4. Begin your career! Now you’re off to a rewarding and exciting #healthcare career!
