The owner of the company that everyone was a fraid of was coming in to fire someone. I was not worried because I had started a program where they would come in early and we would teach them how to preform there job better. I found out later that one of the managers was jealous of what I did and went to the owner and told him while I was working on the floor I was not doing my job ( biggest lie he has ever told ). The owner came in and I was told I was fired and to leave the premises immediately. I left as told and could not understand why it was me after I had worked so hard so I would have my job. I did not know at that time what one of my managers had done to me behind my back. That was hard to swallow as I was making $1000 a week. I got another job making 600 a week which was a big cut in pay but I at least had a job. I stayed with that job from 1999 - 2003 when they closed it and at that time I was the Vice President of the Company making unbelievable money. I called the owner and told him it was time to close the business because we were getting to many credits ( charge Backs ). He told me to make sure all the employees got their Paychecks and for me to write myself a check for $35,000. I laughed and he told me he was not kidding and to write myself the check I did and I asked him why and he told me I made him a lot of money and that I not only earned it I deserved it.
