I am English and have lived and worked in the States since 2002. I have worked and paid my taxes in the States and am a permanent resident. I recently signed up to some agencies and when they called me they asked if I was a US citizen. When I said I wasn't but that I do have a green card they immediately said they could not help me. I asked why and they wouldn't or couldn't answer me. So I emailed them but not one has had the decency to respond.
