Knowing more than the interviewer
First of all, I have am extensive Resume expierence in Management and Executive Position for more than 15 years.
Recently I was victim of Hurricane Maria in PR and relocate to US because of the economical hardships that PR is confronting and many companies are not doing well.
Now, I had a recent interview for a management position in a large retail corporation, ( for the record I was the Human Resource Manager for a S&P 500 retail corporation ). The short story is, the interviewer know less about management than me in all areas. In the same interview he don't know basic code like KPI (key performance indicators) or UPT (Units per Transaction). At that very moment I knew he will not call me for the job. 2 day after my prediction was true, receive an email saying that I was overqualified.
If you don't have experience or college degree is bad and if you have your college degree and good experience is worst .
How will the companies survive if they are not hiring good talent?
Hold on do not give up. It is wise to use English at all times and not abbreviations. Answer only the questions asked and be careful how you respond. It is somewhat of a challenge when you act like the Boss instead of the one looking for the job. In other words it's ok to be a sheep.
