My first time posting here. I'm just a little frustrated, but trying to be patient. Home Depot was looking to hire 80,000 people Nationwide & I made it through the assessment tests, the phone interview and then a face to face interview with the assistant manager. I am a perfect fit for the department they were hiring for. The asst. Manager hired me on the spot and said HR would get back to me. I sat there & did both the background check & drug test, neither of which I would have a problem with. I've called to follow up several times & The only response I get is if HR hasn't gotten back with you yet, they haven't received your results. It's been 16 days. I had stopped looking for a job because I believed this was my new home. I'm wanting to go see the head of HR to talk face to face & ask questions. Or do I continue filling out applications? Concerned individual with mad skills and Great work ethics!!
If you want to work for home Depot just call them every day and bug them that's the way to do it I sure you will hear from them Good luck and don't give up

Call and and ask for a follow-up on your drug test and how your interview went, tell them you want to keep your application current. That you really feel you could make a difference in their company and tell them in what ways. Be careful not to say how much YOU NEED their job. They are only interested in what YOU CAN DO FOR THEIR Company!

Tanya, I know that feeling and it is frustrating getting that far and seem to hit a wall. It's like the companies forget about you or they don't understand that people are waiting and ready to work. I would say just keep looking to keep your options open because you can be the next best thing for a company and never het a call back. I would continue to look and when they call they call. You did your part with calling to check on the next steps so what more can you really do. Just hang in there...... Good luck!
