Not hearing back because…?
Maybe this is me being paranoid, but I think having a college degree is making employers not contact me for jobs because they think I’m too qualified (I’m applying for sales jobs, btw). I’m not going to run off and leave once I get the job, I just want a job!

Don't feel bad, because I feel bad because that is happening to me as well but there could be more, and some times some jobs will use your credit report as well, and with the school loans and other information in your credit report can hurt you as well. I am going through so much from schooling, to my credit report, and some other unseen factor, so I know how it is trying to get a job after school.

I want a job too. Just put my app in for a few.

I'm in the job market with some 30 years experience in real estate and found out that if only I had gotten that BA degree I could qualify to make $12-$15/hr!

Simon, I do not think your degree has anything to do with them not calling you back. Sales positions are more about experience in that or similar fields. You did not mention your experience if you do not have any then maybe look for an inside sales assistant position to help you learn some

I am only looking for jobs that are off on the weekends and are paying weekly

Simon how are you today just to give you something to consider is i told one other person. Sometime it is the money the question that was ask concern what you are winkling to accept. My solution to you is to accept what they offer because you don't have any experience .Get the experience and move on to what you want

I'm not sure if this helps at all, but I've applied for my share of jobs where it was two weeks before I heard anything. Where it would get to a point where I thought I wouldn't hear anything, and that was when I would get a phone call to set up an interview. Granted, those weren't sales positions, but sometimes, going a few days without hearing something really doesn't mean anything. That's a hard thing to remember, though; I know I get pretty discouraged myself when I'm applying for jobs left and right and being rewarded with crickets.

I'm still wondering why I went 20,000 in the hole when a person was hired after me with no degree and the person who bumped me had no degree.
Not so much Milky way @
