How does this work?
just getting started, looking for advise in getting back into medical sales, and/or pharma, I had been in the industry for 14 years. keep me postes

Kraig: Learn difference between advice and advise. Don't know about selling in medical or pharma. Try to stay away from things I know nothing about. Learned I didn't want to sell early in career and steered away from sales. I don't have selling experience & everyone wants me to tell them how to sell something. I truthfully don't know how.

Keep plugging, my friend's dad made 6 figures high end medical supplies between suppliers and hospitals; listen to hospital supply needs; patients shoulder/leg support sling sleeves, track most sales of items of med.supplies and invest..,..

I hope you have a great accomplishment in your job field

It sounds like you got plenty of experience in the field .You should of picked up clientele you should be able to get most of your sales over your computer. That's a good field you should do goog

Follow your heart, it will never lead you in the wrong direction. Sounds like you have a passion for this type of work. I'm sure you can do exceptionally given your experience.

Here’s some very useful comments that should not need to be complimented by any other questions: You check through some job sites like “Job Case” (where I actually got a request for an interview), and search for (as an example) legal secretary, typist, painter, ringleader (hahahahaha), whatever, and watch all your dream jobs come up. Each job you feel is a good fit you can apply for. Most of the jobs in MY categorymay askED ME WHAT I did on my job, why I left, etc., etc., and what I was looking for in an employer. Each person’s job experience is different and for someone who is a typist, a painter, a clerk, etc., your responses of course pertain to your field of work. Be upbeat, point out your desire to do a good job, and so forth. Brag about yourself - you deserve it.

You should not have a problem getting a job if you have that much experience. It is a very different sales program. You have to have Medical, Healthcare intelligence, which you obviously do. Many Pharms are hard to pronounce and Medical terms. It is not the usual person who can handle this field. CareerBuilder, Indeed, Zip, Monster,Ladder, but I think Ladder charges you. They have really high paying positions. Sign up with them all. Good Luck, know you are in a special sales league.

Anytime you deal with anything in the medical field you will always find a job, pharmacy disciplines are always a good deal because doctors write prescriptions, pharamacies fill the prescriptions and we pick up are medications at the pharmacy, someone will always need medications whether prescription or over the counter. Hope this helps.

Never settle for less $$$$
Kraig...I sold capital equipment into hospitals for 12 years and was laid off in 2012. I in total sold $15 million dollars worth of equipment, grew the territory 59% and still can't get companies to offer me a chance even to interview. They seem to be taking the posture of, "we only want to speak with candidate who've sold our stuff before", which translates into them not wanting to take the time to train new employees. They will also put into their qualifications, "1 to 3 years of experience", which means they want younger, inexperienced sales reps that can "grow with the company". It's utterly devastating to me that I've been unemployed for 5-1/2 years and have put my best foot forward in presenting myself. I really hate their stance of only wanted candidates who've sold their supplies/equipment as I once didn't have any capital equipment sales experience and yet ended up selling $15 million dollars worth of it....I absolutely have the propensity to learn and am sick and tired of not getting a chance.
