Never feel guilty for trying to better yourself! Employers want to pay you the least amount of money possible. They do not care about you in the end, its just business and loyalty is a weakness they prey on in business. So with that in mind, always look for a better paying job. You owe them nothing and they owe you nothing after your paid for what you have done, in the end that is all that matters anyways so get as much as you can while you can still make it. Bottom line is we are all worth more then what we get!

As a manager, I saw an employee working on resume/applications during work hours. I didn't like that -- but I do believe in people first! agreed

Should you feel guilty about looking? No. Should you feel guilty for doing it on your current employer's time? Yes. It's called time theft.

very true Frank Linker, also when they question you on why you can not keep a job for more than 2 yrs my answer to them is well because for the first yr they treat you like a pot of gold than after that the start treating you like crap.
