Going back!

I need some advise about two months ago I got a job working for a good company their competition is Home Depot but once I accepted the job I became very sick and to decline before even worked my first day so fast forward today my health is back on track so how do go by starting the process of obtaining that job again? How do I know if they would even consider me back after turn them down before first day of work. I love to be part of the company but just nervous if they would give me a second chance.so any thoughts would be welcome...thanks

I would say they would not if it was some type of managerial position but if a skilled worker job, the home improvement industry is hiring lots of seasonal employees right now. They would probably put you to work since after season those that dont make the cut, get cut.

Lomzd, Be upfront with them tell them what happen that caused you to not be able to start the job, you will always be better off if you tell them the whole truth. Best of Luck.

Be honest with them. Let them know of your situation of the time if you haven't already. Remind them it was better for both you and them that you didn't work for them at the time. You would have called off sick many times. They would have to consistently fill in your spot. It wouldn't have looked good on you from being a new hire as well. it saved both parties. Tell them how you were really looking forward to working there. Also how much of much of an value you would be to them. Like I was always told" Going on an interview is the time to make yourself sound important to them" You are of value. Let them know that. You can do this.

Transparency and honesty like Matt stated. I went through a similar situation where my family and I moved to some property in a different state and then my wife and I decided to separate for a while. After moving back to my previous state I had to stop the process of a job I applied to in the state we moved to. When things settled down I just sent a message to the recruiter letting them know I'd like to reactivate my candidacy and that the personal issue had been resolved that required me to withdraw. The job had been filled but they put me in for the same position at a location 30 miles away. So being up front and respectful will usually yield positive results.
