I am trying to change careers. I recently started a Masters program in Mental Health Counseling and found out I am qualified for being a case manager in the counseling/psychology feild. However it seems those jobs are hard to find. Needing help in a step in the right direction!
Try Google. You field. And. Location
Hi Jessica, do you have clinical experience? I'm in school for my certification, licensing. I understand we will have clinicals, but Im wondering if I should volunteer ASAP for longer history of patient care. Any input would be helpful. Thanks
Over flow of jobs in that field in Mass.
Hi Jessica, Try the following: Indeed. Glassdoor, Veterans Administration, local Hospitals with an Adult Mental Health department
Hi Jessica, I am a professor in this same field. There's actually quite a bit you can do at the Bachelor's level. When are you starting Practicum and Internship? If you stay at one placement for the entire time, it often turns into a job. In addition to case management, I would look at psych wards, residential psych or drug/alc treatment, prisons, domestic violence shelters. ALSO! Join the Georgia Counseling Association.. get involved and network!! All the best.
Good afternoon. Depending where you live, there are a lot of jobs in that field. Here in Seattle WA. They pay between 38k to 50k. Non profits or hospitals.
Try area non profits in socIal services like Catholic Charities or Ywca or community health clinics. Good way to get your feet wet with case mgmt. Many positions with focus on holistic multi disciplinary approach to case mgmt.
