Hired and fired

I was hired at Vinson security here in Montgomery AL on Whitman St. And couldn't e sign on the computer because I couldn't remember my password. So Steve Rogers who hired me told me that he couldn't hire me because I couldn't finish e signing because the computer wouldn't let me back in. I had filled out the w2 form and the I 9 form then the computer wouldn't let me go any further. Was that my fault? And I had been finger printed at the local sherrifs office got that notorized and passed the drug test and background check and everything. I am so upset because he told me I was hired. Talking about bad luck. Whew.

You did not describe your training, but it does seem unfair.

It seems that, being a security company, they would have a protocol recovering a password. A secure password, in my experience, consists of characters that a hacker would not be able to predict and would in fact seem random. They would make sure your password meets their parameters. Thus, it would not be easy to remember. The manager would have access to the list of usernames and passwords, in a separate location or manner. On that basis alone, it seems unfair to fire you for not remembering it.

I am so sorry stephanie shelby . I have never heard of anything like that happening previously. If they really wouldn't let you continue because of an error in their software (it should let you re-set your password) then you probably don't want to work for them! Keep searching and don't give up!
