Fustrated! Disappointed!
I'd moved from Nyc to Houston over a year ago and still unable to land a job. I've been going to interview back to back w/no luck. I really like this place but,to be honest I feel like just packing up and head back home. I love the administrative side of the medical field and it will be nice to stick to it. This place have one of the largest medical field in America. I'm willing to give Houston a change but, I dont think its willing to do the same with me.

Keep smiling... Things will get better. I hope there's something really great in your future. Good luck

Rethink youre interviews youre makeing a repeated mistake it seems like not sure what

I used a temp agency. It got me in the door and work experience in the area. Many places prefer to hire locals. I was even told that once when I was interviewing. They said locals were less likely to quit and move away. That taught me to let potential employers know that I fell in love with the area as soon as I moved and never want to leave. Remember an employer wants a stable steady and reliable employee. Best of luck. Your place will come eventually.

I'm so sorry.. change is always hard hang in there your season will come

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having such a tough time finding a suitable position in Houston. I’ve have gone through what you’re going through several times in my career and truly understand your frustration. After reading a few comments and your responses, it seems like there’s a lot more going on whether or not you have the qualification for the position. You obviously have the experience and background that recruiters and hiring managers are looking for or else you wouldn’t be getting the interviews. They may not be seeing you as a culture fit, for unknown reasons. I have been on many interviews where I’ve walked out confidently thinking I nailed the interview. After not hearing back from many of the companies where I felt it was a great match, I knew there where other factors that where hindering me from moving forward in the process. In many of those interviews it came down to someone else seeing me as not a good fit for their culture. The one question I started asking that really gave me some insight into how I was being perceived in that regard was, what’s the culture like here and how do you see me fitting into your culture. At this point you’re going have to try different things as dressing down a bit as you mentioned in one of your responses. I just think that in this job market we’re in right now, perception is everything. Look up the people you’re interviewing with and find something about them that can help you leverage the way you communicate and project in the interview. Keep your head up and best wishes finding something soon.

The economy that never makes it. No cares about this issue but you will when you don't find work. You can't have a good economy when you are selling bonds like crazy. Keep on ignoring this issue until the next financial crisis inevitably hits us again.

Go to the human resource department in the hospital

May be you should try getting a job like a patient carel tech or something else just to get your foot in the hospital . Then after 6 six months you apply for a administrative position. Sometimes you have to do things like that to get to where you want to be.

and that never give up keep trying be patient in the job that you really want is going to come mr. Greg
