is this a scam?
I recently received an employment agreement with a potential employer and sent it back to them. They in turn sent me a direct deposit form for my first paycheck. The company seems kinda shady whereas i cant find out much about them on the web and I'm wary about giving out my routing #'s and banking info. Is this a scam?

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!!!! Thanks to Emily from Jobcase for all her help in this matter in exposing this fraudulent "company". Anyone dealing with this scam will be sorry in the end.
BEWARE ALL JOB SEARCHERS OUT THERE..... HAVE NO DEALINGS WITH "SE COMPANY" OR "SE LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY" They do not exist!!!!

Hi Michael, that really sounds like a scam to me. Did you have an interview? If you didn't even have an interview, I'd be pretty certain this is a scam. I can find no website for SERVICES FOR EXPLORATION LLC (SE Company), and I can't find any reference to them online really. This is a red flag.
Did they email you from a gmail address? Does the job not include many qualifications? Is the pay pretty damn good? Is it to work from home? If the answer to most of these questions is "yes" then you've got a scam on your hands.
If you really want me to investigate it thoroughly (which I am more than happy to do!) please forward the employment agreement email to askemily@jobcase.com and I'll look into it for you!

Hi Michael: We can definitely help you figure out what's going on. Do you have the name of the employer? Did you actually meet the employer face-to-face? Give us a little more info so we can help you figure out what's going on.
