My wife and I have the privilege and challenge of hosting 7 high school teen boys frequently in our home. Our youngest son has a close nit group of guys that he has built friendships since middle school. There are many things we could do without (loud games, putting frogs in the other guys shower, etc.) but we are so fortunate these young men can build lasting lake memories in our home. It gives an opportunity to learn about their families and each student as individuals. Each teenager has some challenges but doesn't. Our goal is to give the a place where they can be teens and yet understand that there are guidelines and rules that are in place to follow while they are here. It took some time for them to get to know us but now they are comfortable in our home.

Why am I writing this? I use my job as an opportunity to learn from my team and hopefully encourage them as we work side by side. I understand it takes time to build trust but when that door is open, it can lead to a health friendship and a wonderful work environment. I am like many of you, searching for an opportunity to work in a professional atmosphere to build, learn, grow and help equip others in a cohesive work environment.

It may take some time but let us be passionate in our current position (home or work) so we can help those around us! Who knows, maybe you will land that job your have been waiting for!!
