What’s the best follow-up protocol after I apply?
I recently applied to Home Depot for a Seasonal Hardware Sales Associate. The last time I logged into my Home Depot career account to check in on my application the status read “under review”. I’m thinking about walking into the store and asking the manager how long it takes to review my online application. What would be the best method to get more info on the hiring process, phone call or walk-in? I’ve heard that’s it better to call first because it’s hard to find an available manager at the store but I need a job now and I don’t want to lose anymore time.

I do a follow up every 2-3-days and it seems to work but the process takes time hang in there

Find another avenue.... Or job. Way too much.... Ive had 3 interviews, actually with the same manager. Not worth the investment of your time.

Hey Veronica, There's a employment hotline number set up during the seasonal hiring period you can call more info on your application.. 866-698-4347

Depends on your personality and what's approach you know would bring you the best result from past experience. I'm kinda old school so I prefer to walk right into the store and talk to the manager face to face. Besides managers like to see applicants who are enthusiastic about the job. I think your chances of landing the job are better if you can make a personal follow-up.

Hey Veronica, I love that you are willing to take this action!! I think either way is great. If you do decide to go in person, definitely dress nice in case they decide they want to interview you right then! Good luck!
Hey Veronica! I worked for Home Depot in two locations in Virginia and after I had applied on the computer I went in to the store and talked to a manager and they gave me more information and they were able to put a face with my name. They can look in the computer and see more about your application process than you can. Have you been contacted by their HR department to answer questions? Go to the store and show face.
