Hi Jennifer! You're absolutely right, this is most certainly a scam. What's nuts is that they were able to spoof the legit email address (@fivestardecorating.com) but I'd wager that if you replied to that email it wouldn't have gone to the real company. Spoofing is something that some scammers use to hide the fact that they're going to scam you, so it's sad but even emails coming from a legit address aren't always real! The fact that they included a Google Hangout interview always sets off my red flags, so I'm really glad you sniffed out the scam and even reported it to the real company. You've done a lot to help!
