If you son/daughter is a good swimmer then a lifeguard /swim instructor is a great job. Dependent on the area and where they work it can be year round and when they get older thy could be a beach lifeguard. I was from OH and guarded in Myrtle Beach all through college summers in the last 80's and made $3,600 a month back then. Other options are grocery work and construction. Good luck!
