Question to people who are recruiters (or HR) about job listings
So I've been job searching for some time now (little over a year), and have gotten a few interviews that I've obviously not gotten the job. Two jobs in particular I thought I was very much qualified for I did not get, despite going through the whole interview process. Both of these job postings are still listed in the careers sections of their respective companies. My question to recruiters is do you ever have candidates submit applications again to a job posting despite them going unsuccessfully through the job process previously? And do you consider them again? For one job in particular, I went through the phone screening and met with both hiring managers as well as the VP and thought things went well. Afterwords, I sent a thank you follow up to everyone involved but never heard back. The posting is still there and I definitely want to apply again. If any of you job searchers have gone through this and applied again, please let me know your experiences and if you got another interview. Thanks!
I’m not a professional recruiter but I wouldn’t re-applying for the same job if you’re still going through the interview process. Have you received a rejection letter? They might still be interviewing other candidates and haven’t made a decision. Call you contact to follow-up and ask if there’s any other information they need from you. Some companies have a grace period before candidates are able to re-apply for the same position. Try to find out what their policy is for re-applying.
