Wrongful termination
I had worked at this same dealership under 5 different owners for 42 years, 3 months into my 43rd. I was the shop foreman, and the only one who had all the certifications for the dealership to get paid on warranty claims. I never had so much as one disiplenary action or warning in my life. New management came in, and told me they didn't care if I was there 43 years or 43 minutes. 6 weeks later, they trumped up false charges against me and threw me out. For a place I dedicated my life to , and a regime that had their own agenda when coming in, is sickening. I'm 61 with knee replacement failure, and the other one bone on bone. THAT'S why they fired me. Shame on me for being so dedicated, it means nothing. I'm devastated, and empty inside.

Hi Steve, I am so sorry to hear that after all the years of loyal service you were mistreated. It in NO one undermines the amazing work you did while there. A similar thing happened to my father years and years ago before I was born. He had been working at a car dealership that he loved for a very long time and when the owner suddenly passed away it was handed down to his son who was quite cruel. He fired the entire staff after a time. It stung and my dad will still tell us all the crazy and happy stories from that time to this day, but he went on from that dealership to own his own business. I am not saying this is right for you, but he didn't give up and you can't either. Why not consider a work from home job while you figure things out? Check out some [here] (https://www.jobcase.com/conversations/36571252-e6b3-53b0-91a0-5ba8fbe865f7). I am thinking of you Steve, you're amazing and please don't give up and especially don't feel ashamed. Be proud of your accomplishments, it is THEIR loss, not yours.
Shame on them for not valuing your hard-work, dedication, and loyalty. I understand your resentment but it's their loss from where I see it. I don't know you personally Steve but I know a lot of people like you. Individuals who become pillars within all the communities they carry their lives into, (family, work, church, etc.).
All of what you say was lost during all those year was not lost but a testament of who you are. Your a ROCK Steve! What they did to you was unfair but there are a great many other employers ahead that will value the good qualities and leadership you can offer their organization. Take some time and focus on your health then get back out there and let the employment community you're available. Stay Encouraged!
