Social Worker-Masters in Social Work
I am a job seeker with a Masters' in Social Work. I am a teacher with the Norfolk Public school system and am looking for something that is more clinical and that matches my Social Work skills. I am a seasoned Business executive who is a career switcher and have a vast field of knowledge in the Geriatric field of Social Work, and in the area of Substance abuse as well as Mental Health. I would appreciate any leads in the fields just mentioned.

I think if you focus your resume and job search on that specific industry, you should have no problem. However, one word of warning --- depending on the position you apply for, you may have to leave off the fact you have a Masters Degree. That may "over-qualify" you. I know that's terrible to say, but it's true. Be sure to double check the requirements for each position to see if they call out "Masters degree preferred."
Hello Eunice, Jim has given you some great advice! I would also suggest that you add your resume to your profile so other Jobcasers are able to help you with your search. You can also search for positions you may be interested in by using the following steps: 1.Double click on the “Jobs” tab at the top of the page 2.Enter a job into the search field that says “Position” 3.Click on the blue button to search for that position in your area 4.Once the list is up, click on the title of any you are interested in to apply. Please let me know if you need any further assistance!
