Frustrated
I put in application after application but since I am currently working on getting my license back. I'm unreliable even throw I have my own car and a driver. What can I do that would help me?

An employer may not legally ask you if you have a drivers license, unless it is a job requirement. However, they can ask if you have reliable transportation which you do! Good luck!

Hi Jeremy. My advice to you is to continue to apply and almost certainly some employer will give you the benefit of the doubt while you're working on getting your license back. Just like Julian said before, if at all possible, don't disclose that you currently have no license to any employer because you want to be able to at least make it to the interview stage of the hiring process. Then that would be the appropriate time to mention having no license unless they just point blank ask you up front because you definitely want to be honest about it. But sometimes if nothing else works just say a prayer and continue to put forth the effort and the job will come, because I know from experience God will reward you like scripture says, "Faith without works is dead." In other words, as long as you do your part (as you have been already), God will literally open a door that maybe wasn't even there before. I have experienced this for myself! ☆

Jeremy, Keep the problem about your license to yourself, till you get your license back. As long as your friend can & will get you to work that's what count's. If not, hate to say it use public trans & make sure the job is on a bus route Took me 1 1/2 years to do it, but it was worth it.

Ask for temporary employment that don't call for you to have a license till you get them back or you can probly get a license for work only they do do that ya know

Hi Jeremy,
Just that fact you are staying on top of this matter proves that you are responsible. Beware of "Offering too much information". There does not appear to be a need for anyone else to know about your current drivers license status. Unless the need to know arises, keep it to yourself.
Can you come up with a plan, if for some unforeseen reason your current ride is unable to be there. Otherwise, sounds like you got it under control.
Do not think or let anyone else make you feel unreliable - I would count on you, simply because trying to make the best of this situation.
Best Wishes

Everything takes time ..do not give up so easy ..

Everyone gave you great advice on how to get to work. But they missed one and if it's possible try it. How about walking? Not too long ago my car of 15 yrs broke down,I didn't have the money too fix it right away (daughter in college)so for almost 5.5 months I walked 1:10mnts round trip from home to work. Point is where there's a will there's a way. Good luck brother.

a lot of employers only ask if you have reliable transportation, just say yes,,,in the meantime, work on getting your license back, also think about the area in which you are putting in applications, maybe moving closer to that area..

I'm doing the same thing and it's seems like no one is going to ever call get up every morning and go straight to the apps.what do a sister do in that situation.
Jeremy, The only way your drivers license comes into play is if your applying for a job and the company is going to run a MVR and background check. As long as u have a valid state issued ID a Company cannot deny you employment opportunities. Last if the question is ask to you in a interview and you tell them that your license is suspended that's where the unreliable statement may come from. So just do your homework before you apply next next opportunity that u do qualify for the Job.
