Gonna miss my VOLVO

Have to say goodbye to a great friend - Been driving a Volvo for 2 years & loved it (bright red rig like the one below)... she's gotten me through snow, dust storms, whatever. Older rig that's gotta get retired so company's gonna get me a new one. Hoping for something good... been reading some good stuff about the Pete 379 and Macks.

What's your favorite rig ever?

When I first started with the company I driver for part time I had a 99 Freightliner with a Detroit and no governor. Loads of power and pulled PA hills like no other. The new trucks have lots of comfort features but no where near the power my old one had.

I feel the same way about my 2014 KW t680 it has a Cummins engine and it runs pretty strong never gave me any problems but only had it for six months now so far it's been the best truck I ever had lots of power no governor

I like trucks that keep going and do not break down. My best experience, overall, has been with KWs and Petes. In a Pete 579, currently, and I'd say it's about the best I've ever driven. It's got the 12 speed automatic which I was a bit dubious about, especially as regards winter conditions, but I've been through enough with it at this point, that it no longer concerns me.
