Recently moved to the US. Same language, different meanings?

I have recently re located to the US in the Seattle area. My wife was offered a great opportunity here and we thought we would take this chance of something different and exciting. Coming from England, I know we speak the same language, but sometimes words have different meanings. I am after some advice on wording for CVs (resumes) that will actually mean something to the US employer. I am primarily in the Facilities Management (estates / corporate / residential) and Project Management field. Does anyone know what the market is like for FM / PM in the Seattle area? Is it all tech here?

Hi Hisham: Thanks for posting on Jobcase! Project management is not all tech, here in the U.S. it can into many different fields of interest. You can frame your resume based of the field your interested in. Also keep in mind, when applying for those positions the job description , using action words and showcasing your skills in a way for future employers see you bring results will be beneficial.
