Some common mistakes to avoid as a clerk include lack of attention to detail, poor time management, failure to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors, and not seeking opportunities for growth and development. Remember, always stay organized, double-check your work, prioritize tasks effectively, and don't be afraid to ask for help or feedback when needed. If you're looking for job opportunities as a clerk, be sure to check Jobcase along with other job search providers to find relevant openings in your area.

Common mistakes are not being able to multi task. Not paying attention to detail and not know the policies and procedures. Being a clerk is very easy especially if you are a person that likes people, knows how to stay organized, and eager to help you will be a great clerk.

Always look busy, wiping down counter tops, pickingg up the general work area, always assist with the customers. NEVER "sigh" or roll your eyes when a customers makes a special request of cutting something thinner or thickers!! Always find things to do when it maybe a slow time in the day. Wash dishes, refill and make what is low on the shelf. Smile and be nice to the customers, they are who makes your paycheck!!
