FINALLY!!! I found a career in the accounting field.
After uncountable interviews I finally landed a position in my field. It was very discouraging one interview after another but I never gave up. My work history paided off because they are going to utilize me in the other areas too. I guess what I'm saying is hang in there and just let anyone and everyone you know that you are looking for a career your dream will come true.

Thanks Kimberly!!! I to an getting very discouraged. My resume has been viewed a numerous amount of times yet I still have not gotten called for an interview!!! Got really depressed about it today, but I'm not giving up!!!!

Kimberley, Congratulation! !!!!! I am happy for you. That is a high field. One my daughter is an accountant, she graduates from Howard University. She makes Excellent money.

Congratulations Kimberley, I'm also in the Accounting field (payable, receivable, taxes & finance) for over 15 years. I've been working for a temp "state" agency since September 2017 and I've recently had 2 interviews for two different state jobs. The state is slooooow with there processing but I know patients is a virtual and God is always on time. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to work as a temp in my field improving my skills: motivation and enthusiasm for learning new task, problem solving, communication, teamwork, organization, and flexibility to be used internal and external. I know my permanent full time job is coming and I'll be so grateful to the Lord for answering another prayer.

Congratulation Kim. I just had 3 interviews today and I think I fail but I don't mind ill just have to look for another job then.

I am in the same boat. I earned my accounting degree in 2017, worked for a public accounting firm for 3.5 months and decided I want to work in Industry accounting. The problem everyone wants experience. I am not going to give up looking, even there are days that I am discouraged.

Congratulations Kimberly.
How long have you try to get in your field? I really hoping to find something in the accounting field. I don't mind to start from entry level. Or to start from part time position.

That's very encouraging, I have been off now for a little over 3 months. I was working at Sears as a parts sales person for almost 6 years, and they stated they were closing, my last day was April 20, 2018. I have 19 years worth of customer service/sales/marketing and collection experience working for West and NCO Financials as well. I have been on about 4 interviews already. So seeing this is very encouraging to keep fighting and something will come my way, and I wish the best for everyone who is out there job searching.

Thank you to all. This site has helped me in so many ways. There were times that I was ready to throw in the towel but I kicked myself and wouldn't give up. I wanted to set a good example for my 14 year old son. He was wondering why go to college if they wouldn't hire me with little experience. iIt turned out that my experience with my other jobs helped in so many ways I am going to be working as a bookkeeper and in their deli. I guess it does pay off to hold severe different types of positions A family member seen the ad in the paper and told me about it. I'm so thankfull for the person who hired me, friends and family.
