How did you stay so positive???

Looking for jobs can be tough, but just know that you are NOT alone! You’ve stayed strong through this process and I hope you can stay strong just a little longer. When you’re upset take a few deep breaths. When things seem hopeless do something that brings you up. Read a book that you never had the chance to finish, teach yourself something new, or enjoy a meal with a friend (even if it’s a peanut butter and jelly sandwich). Please take a few minutes and share what has kept you going and motivated. There are those out there in the community ready to give up, and they really need your help.

I like to make lists and goals for myself. When I see all the things I have finished and crossed out, I ALWAYS feel better!

I wrote myself little "YOU CAN DO IT!!!" notes and left them on my bathroom mirror when I felt myself becoming frustrated or down.

I thought about my kids a lot when I was unemployed and what would happen, but for you it could be your family or friends or anything that's important and dear to you. It's EASY to give up, anyone can do that, but to be a fighter takes something more. I never stopped fighting until I found work. My babies needed me! I also just looked (and still do) at their beautiful faces and know that my life has purpose and THAT kept me in a positive state of mind.
