How can I resolve this?
I received a job offer via email for a Warehouse Clerk position I interviewed for last week. The email offer shows $14 p/hour as the pay but the manager I interviewed with last week told me the starting pay rate was $15 p/hour.
Call Interviewer. Say,"Sir, apparently somehow there has been communication breakdown. Perhaps by me, but I am confused. I "HEARD" $15/hr at our interview. The email after that says $14. I am hoping it is just a typo." That way No body in the company has to defend a thing, no person, including you lose face. Actually U will be elevated. The interviewer says " yeah, a typo". U get the $15. . .......................................However , if he backs out and goes w/$14 and u feel he misled (lied) to u I suggest u do it at $14/hr while u search for a position where U are respected as someone of value and purpose at $15+/hr. Anything U can buy, get or do once U will do it again. And if U go there @$14, on the day of your exit tell the boss, "Good news. Don;t worry about finding a replacement because I am kinda replacing myself. Here are the emails from several individuals that are ready to hit the floor running tomorrow!' I wish u luck. Try to stick to the exact wording I wrote when you question the interviewer .

I am hoping it is a typo." .............................................................this way no one individual needs to defend anyone or anything. And if I feel that the hiring agent misled (lied) to me I'd work for a month until I found one where I enter with a normal amt of human respect. And upon my exit say, "Good news, Sir. Here are several emails from ppl who want the position so you don't even have to worry. I'm practically replacing myself!" I bet you get the fifteen bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO U!!!!

I don't understand the problem - Do you not want to make $15.00 per hour, if so, I believe it is safe to start your new job at $15.00 per hour. Just appreciate that you impressed the manager. Congratulations on your new position.
