Mammogram Technician at Watts Healthcare

Help, Im a very quallified Mammogram Technician

I am a very qualified Mammogram Technician, I am also an experienced QC Technician, I have been solely responsible for all quality assurance records, and I actually sit in just myself with the Federal Inspections, and submit necessary documents for State accreditation. I have a full time job that I am very much under paid at, and hold a per diem position at a large reputable hospital. However I am very low on the totem pole at the hospital for anything part time or full time. I have applied at other large health care facilities and hospitals with no response. I have applied several times to the same 3 hospitals with no reply. What am I doing wrong, my qualifications are good, but I do not include a cover letter with my resume, and I am using a resume that has only a few updates here and there, could it be that, please help.. I am really looking to advance from my current full time job. Additionally, I am not that young, I will be 60 this year, not sure if that's the problem or not. Tips and advice would be great, thanks.

Hang in there Charisse. It could be possible that the places you are applying don't have any openings right now, so it might not be you, it could be them.

Cover letters help though they don't guarantee results. I've written a number of cover letters and didn't even get a message back. It still helped in the long run. Focus on the traits that make you great employee - dependability and care!

Last tip - during the ups and downs of job hunting cheering other people on helps me realize I'm not alone.
