I applied to dollar general got an interview and now I'm waiting for the background check to come back to start. It taking longer then usual for the results to come back according to the store. It been over a week now. Is anybody me else having this problem? Is this wasting my time and so on?

Background checks can sometimes take up to three weeks also depending on any issues you may have present. It also varies widely from person to person and company to company, so hang in there Nique Nique ! When in doubt follow up with them in a few days.
