The Parable of the Old Mule
Many of you may have heard the parable of the old mule that fell into a well and the farmer opted to bury the mule alive in an attempt to keep it from suffering. The farmer called friends together in order to expedite the job of burying the mule but that was when things changed. As each shovel of dirt land on the mule it would shake it off, stomp it down and then step up. In the end the mule was able to step out of the well and the moral of the parable is when adversity occurs we need to be able to shake it off and step up.
That is a great lesson but I tended to look at this way. There will always be those who believe that burying you is a good idea and they will always be able to find help in doing so. However, having the ability to outlast them and leverage what they are attempting to use to bury you could be your greatest strength in overcoming the situation.
Keep stepping up and overcoming.

the parable is beautiful and eloquent. But if you have no luck in trying, as I do, you can never go far. You can fight as you please, it takes above all the luck, the rest comes by itself.
