What kind of ID can I use on a job application?

I don’t have a driver's license or a passport yet just a social security card.

I just may be the droid you are looking for.

I believe most states offer an ID...it looks like a driver's license, however it's slightly different, but it is definitely a "photo ID."

Here in California, if you are low income, certain agencies that help with food, clothing, and other services, are also able to provide a specific form that says you qualify for a very reduced fee to get an ID at the RMV (here it's called a DMV). You might want to check and see if they have such a thing in your state, and it will make it easier to get the ID if you cannot afford the fees.

Hi Scott, You may not need ID for the job application, but you will definitely need it once you get hired. You can get an ID card from a full-service RMV. Bring your social security card, birth certificate, something that proves residency (like a utility bill, gas bill, etc) and a way to pay the $25 fee. (I think they might take credit cards now.) Once you start work, you'll need to bring the soc security card, plus the ID card. Good luck at the job fair!! Marijoy

You should be able to get some sort of Massachusetts resident card at your local DMV.

Just got to local division of motor vehicle and get just a plain ID, it's not a driver licence, but a picture ID of you and your info.
