#AT&T : Highly Recommended
AT&T allowed me to raise my children and give them a good education. We had a very comfortable life and made many lifelong friends in my 36 years with them. They are a reliable company who is staying abreast of all new technology.

AT&T Thank you so much

Beth, Never give up. I was in your situation minus all of the children but you will find a job and not at minimum wage. Even the in-and-,out burger place pays starting 16 year olds at least $11.00 an hour.in Las Vegas. You have experience, you have a skill-set and if you can use the language of a millennial you will fit in any place. Update your resume and use key words that HR looks for and start looking and interviewing asap. Go for unemployment if you can get it. Go for SSI disability if you can get it. You do sound very depressed and mental health can definitely qualify for SSI disability. God has blessed you with numerous children and God has a silver lining for you. I truly believe for every "bad" thing there is a silver lining. You will find a less stressful job and may have to settle for less $$ to start but you will be making whatever you were used to making. Give it time. I was depressed at a time when I had no job, I had to get a loan and then try to get it together. I've taught myself all of the Microsoft software and am waiting to take the test and become certified. I am also learning to write code or perhaps go in a different direction entirely. At 52 you cannot just give up. You will persevere, just don't give up. 52 is still young and you can find a company who doesn't look at age, they look at your experience and your length of employment in prior jobs. As long as you don't drink and are not on drugs (for drug testing) you will get hired. Having great connections also helps. Social media helps. Use every resource you have. There is always self-employment and perhaps you can become an entrepreneur rather than working 9 to 5 for someone else. Look at all of your options available to you personally. Next time you write on here I hope to see that you have a brand new job and your life is NOT over!!! We will all be hoping and praying for you! Best of luck!!!! Every cloud has a silver lining! BE POSITIVE, YOU WILL HAVE SOMETHING OR MAKE SOMETHING IN A VERY SHORT TIME FRAME. I wish you much luck in your search and God will bless you, just never say "I give up" because you can't give up. People depend on you!!! We want to see your next post being very positive and tell us you have found a great new job or you are opening a new business & with a small business loan, follow your dream job. No more 9 to 5. If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. May you find what you are looking for and I'll be praying for you. Good luck and leave it up to God to show you the way!!!!

I am sorry.... I don't work for them but I have a handful of friends that have worked for 15-20 years or more for a few....and they are constantly fighting themselves for promotions...raises ....affordable health packages ....realistic quota standards. This is the stuff they post to their Facebook...myspace pages. Lol.
So why is their always an internal fight for the basics of a large corporation? Why is the struggle so real for such a good company?

I've heard good things about AT&T. Glad you had a great experience with them.

AT&T is the worst company employees cannot follow directions has to end service with them

Some of us may remember a company that used a orange stick figure in mid jumping jack that had a blue head as their logo, a company who's slogan was 'more bars in more places', a slogan that destroyed their reputation, destroyed their credibility and got them in some serious hot water with the department of the government responsible for holding companies accountable for their advertising. By which I mean the government department found them horribly guilty of false advertising. The company was named Cingular, and knowing that their public image was circling the drain they bought AT&T and adopted the new name and logo. The reason for this choice had more then just some smart marketing to do with it. You see, AT&T has a very long and historical significance in American history. It stands for 'American Telegraph & Telegram, which tells you just how old the company is. There is even a law somewhere that prevents the name and company from dropping out of use on the grounds of it's historical importance. So you see, no the company that we now call AT&T isn't due the credit of what its known for back then, in fact it hasn't been that company for a very long time in all likelihood.

Excellent break a leg for the organization's unity! Wendell James Blake

Good for you, Beth!. It really depends on your job description, and your boss, though. You can't duplicate the experience anywhere in the country. Too general to be an absolute truth. A guy always told me "Treasure a good boss - it will make life pleasant for you, and bad bosses are plentiful out there, because it's easier and takes less effort on their part."

Very happy for you, I have heard it's great to work for, but being a customer is different.
Well done Captain.
