Confused on what I should do.

I started working at iHop 5 days ago and new managers had switched stores with the managers that used to work for my store. Anywho, I was still training until one of the new managers came in and told me that I'm through with training (even though the training period lasts at least 5 days and I wasn't ready to be on the floor by myself) and that I'm being put on the floor. I still wasn't familiar with the kiosks and the menu... he stated that HIS training period lasts two hours and then you're put on the floor... NO ONE CAN LEARN EVERYTHING IN TWO HOURS! He was very rude, caused me anxiety and made me cry. I'm only 20 years old, no experience in serving, and only trying to gain experience. I had called him over to the kiosk because I was having difficulties and he said "I cant be over your shoulder the whole time. You have to figure it out for yourself" with attitude. Then told me that he cant be helping me serve tables because HES A MANAGER, NOT A SERVER. he has very poor management skills. I had to walk out because that's no way to treat or train a person with no experience. Hes very mean to the employees. He let his power of authority get to his head and that's not okay. Before he came in, iHop used to be a calm, happy environment but now everyone is walking on eggshells and given attitude by this new manager.

You can write up the situation and hang in there and go for it, go cold turkey and just do the best you can. You never permit anyone to make you cry and I do understand completely ... Hang in there and show this guy up ... If you need to your can contact your HR Manager. You have this good Luck

Dear mam I can't talk about this and first you have self confidence on your I am doing that work after then you take self power and concentrate on your work what I am doing which training you take you doing some different like that you doing in training doing some different own mind 6th sense power used doing some better not doing as well that you learn in training you do that I definitely said nobody say mistake in this otherwise they said you good it is my experience bcoz I doing some different bcoz you learn in training if you want doing as well you not doing like that and trainer said you doing mistake never don't do copy if you want doing copy first mind concentrate on it then you copy that otherwise you never doing copy as that you do one day after that you self know how the work is doing in training time doing mistake but after training you doing some different nobody say mistake in this

First thing - Don't take it personally! I'm sure you will be very good at what you do, with a little training! I will share with you what my brother-in-law did when he was up against a wall (so to speak). He went shopping for the exact same job, but with more money. Then he went back to the place where he worked (a school) and told them unless he got the same pay - he was going to walk. He ended up getting the job he wanted, and the pay he wanted. You are not the victim here, you made it through school - now use your head, and walk away, if need be, with your head held high. These new companies that take over have no idea how to run a business!

I have see a few posts now involving IHOP. Not one had had a positive message. In fact they all been similar. With all the restaurants looking for help out there. It appears to me. No one should work for IHOP.

You know that happens a lot. These Company's are forgetting to teach Mngrs. people skills. And everyone learns at their own pace. But yes normally you train for 5 dys
