Tanisha Hill It can be hard to come to terms with, but these days it's hard to separate your personal and professional lives when it comes to social media. Nowadays, any employer can simply search your name and see all the public posts you've been making in your off-time.
While not all employers are going to be checking your social media regularly, if an issue arises they might take social media posts into consideration. I would suggest that you take precautions when posting or commenting online. Either make your profile private for anyone who is not in your social network or keep an eye on the content you post, share or comment on.
The situation you describe does sound very unfair, Tanisha, and I hope you find a position soon with more security and a better social environment. We definitely have your back if you need help or support with finding a new position.
