Do I need a CDL before I apply for a UPS courier position?
I’m interested in the brown truck delivery positions but I want to make sure my application isn’t denied because I don’t have the right license.
For an in town currier, one ton truck, no you don't have to. Its very hard to get on with them in this position. Now if you want to drive a transport truck you will need a class A license with doubles and triples endorsement. They seem to be hiring for those positions much more often than the currier positions. I have been trying for years to get a currier position and still have not been hired.
I'm sorry but I don't have a license but i can work with a driver delivering packages is that ok for now.
I do have CDL but wanted to try something else for a while. But still wanted to be employed by a company that had trucks so when I wanted to drive again I didn't have to change company's
