Administrative Assistant at Acee Investment Group

The Administrative Assistant should be capable of running an office to accommodate the Executive and be comfortable to act on her or his behalf in situations that don’t require a unique licence or expertise or be able to set the stage to accommodate an equal replacement whenever the Executive is unavailable.

It requires that you learn the ins and outs of the office and be at ease to answer questions on behalf of the executive and even be able to own certain problems so that the office continues to run effectively and smoothly.

In addition to being a professional, disciplined (most of the times), responsive and responsible. An administrative Assistant could be regarded as the backbone of the office front and backoffice.

First of all you must have college education along with experience. Most companies now require you to have at least some college to be able to perform the duties necessary. Taking some college courses in office administration will help and give you a leg up.

I think what makes a great assistant administrator is having the office skills necessary to be proficient but also having he ability to recognize needs and then implement the actions necessary to achieve them. I think being a team player with a positive attitude should be inherent, as well as having a solid work ethic, being responsible and going the extra mile when necessary to achieve your goal.

Organization and mind reading . . . Organization and a "ticker" file are your keys to maintaining control. You probably will need to be able to switch gears quickly and become a "jack of all trades" and technology. A lot depends on the industry you would be working in. Usually ask for Assoc. degree in business but work experience could qualify you as well.
