Ready for a new start
So, I was offered and excepted a new job this past week and I was aware of the drug screen and rather anxious to take it so I can go ahead and start my training. Then on yesterday I was in a bad car accident, had to be rushed to the er and was told I may have severe nerve damage. Today, in pain, I went and took my drug screen. I took a copy of the medication that was given to me at the er due to my accident and was told that I may be contacted by the medical board. I was wondering if that was normal or should a copy of the medical document have been made? Just curious because I really need and want this job and I am praying the medication given to help me with pain is not going to hinder my fresh start.

Companies usually run whats referred to a 5 panel test which is the urinalysis that test for the major street drugs. Taking your prescription info to the lab center was okay but the decision comes down to hoe the employer rates the pass or fail on the drug screen. The lab will report if they find anything then the hiring manager decides whether to commit to the job offer. Hope it all works out for you.
