The toughest part about landing a job right now is...

My age, I don't get alot of responses. One recruiter asked me " how many years you got left in you"? I said F*#& you and hung up.

I was 56 when in 2009 I was laid off after 24.5 years on the job.I was a field service tech repairing machinery thru out Ma. It took almost a year to get a job, thanks to a friend in the industry, I got a 5 year job. Then the same thing again! I feel like I'm in ground hog day movie!

With all the experience we have dealing with people, we just need to brush up on some computer skills. Maybe you do not. I am going to take a few classes, and apply to work from home. From all these back orders and kids, I have to call them kids because many are clueless. We can do those jobs they are only making min wage. I will miss people, I like to get out but now with the virus, I am happy to work from home.

I turned 66 last April and I am also leery that maybe my age is a factor. I would rather work than just stay home. Just waiting for an employer who would take a chance on me. Heaven help us all.

God is in control and he will not let us down. He has plans for us and it is just a matter of time when we will find out what it is.

Amen, We have to always remember that God is in control, especially if we allow him. Sickness may come, but just think, the nighter one can heal, yes, I am at a retire age, but, I am always ready to work.

Actually I am 51 and I find that the older workers such as myself, have a way better work ethic and work harder than These lazy young workers. Businesses would be stupid to hire a young one over you. Their loss. When the Lord closes one door, he opens another. Have patience. Prayin for you.
