Not giving up
I lost my marriage, my apartment, my car and my job but still keeping the faith in high speed. Not easy but I have faith I will be fine. Have been apply have gotten some turn down but the "YES YOUR HIRED" is coming soon.

Be strong don't ever ever give up
I've lost everything. Lost my job almost 2 years ago and have only had 2 interview since then. Am homeless and couch-surfing. Currently staying with old college friend who claims in public to be my "BFF", but is constantly nasty and abusive behind closed doors. I'm working retail part-time just to keep my phone on and my stuff in storage. If I didn't have pets, I would possibly have more options for a place to stay. If I had a car, I would probably have more options for a job. I feel trapped all the time.

Sorry, in today's market that just will not happen. If you have a gap in your background, you are sunk. Maybe in 20 years things will swing the other way. Seek some form of a degree program that will allow the company to hire you. Try to view it from the employer's point of view. Your schooling/training will allow you to negate the employment gap.
